Most times we are not prepared to capture the moment. It that split second, a jay came out of nowhere and tried to grab the 'dee before it even hit the ground. I'm sure if the jay hadn't been around, it would have landed on my porch and rested for a bit, but it did an amazing shake-off in mid-air and managed to get away from the jay! I think the jay was headed to the feeder as well, but tried to take advantage of the chickadee's mistake.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001026973715727252.post-39844692806984625142008-11-15T18:01:00.000-05:002008-11-15T18:01:00.000-05:00Blue Jays can be pretty bossy. I was surprised since the books say they are year-round visitors. When they were here, they'd come to the feeders regularly --and let us and everyone else know that they were here!!!! I liked them mainly because they would scare away the squirrels!Betsy Banks Adamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16223591156634767330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001026973715727252.post-84551019441445238882008-11-15T16:20:00.000-05:002008-11-15T16:20:00.000-05:00So very true about the Jays...So very true about the Jays...Rambling Woodshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15080120317890707767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001026973715727252.post-91326919774613148702008-11-15T14:25:00.000-05:002008-11-15T14:25:00.000-05:00Isn't that the truth!Isn't that the truth!Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13257536846432577238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001026973715727252.post-45452940249912855122008-11-15T13:29:00.000-05:002008-11-15T13:29:00.000-05:00Flashy, brash and loud!
