I found a bird!

Cold weather and lots of bird food seem to help! I was happy to finally have a bird to photograph. Doesn't the tufted titmouse remind you of the Conehead skit of the old Saturday Night Live show? Yep....I'm losing it....

Good for you!!! He DOES have a pointy head, but he is cute, for sure! I had two Eastern Bluebirds visit today, and what a thought was a warbler of some kind. I made pictures but still was unable to tell. Have a great new week!

Oh Shel, I love that picture of the Tufted Titmouse... It's absolutely one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen of a TT..... Is that ice or snow???? Brrrrr....

We have a freeze warning tonight... The leaves have really changed these past couple of days..

Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Shelley,
And what a bird!! This is a very funny and beautiful shot. Why funny because of the look of the bird with this coned head and its attitude!!!

They are starting to get more active again now with the weather changing. Love the little Titmice and their chattering.

The good ol' faithful titmouse! Yes, I remember the coneheads!
I just put up 4 new feeders and have already tons of birds, its like they were just waiting for it.

Great picture of that little guy and yeah he does look like a conehead! We hear titmousies but never see them. We don't feed the birds because the one year we did here I felt we were serving them up as a buffet to the hawks. I just couldn't handle all that "nature taking it's course" right in front of my eyes everyday. We do see nuthatches alot and leave them corn and nuts at the base of a coupe of trees. We have not been seeing all the birds we were, they are hard to come by now.

Ha! Ha! He does sort of have a little cone on his head. I have a pair here and they are so cute but very hard to get a shot. They move so fast. Great photo Shelly!!!

Yes, a conehead alien, but my first thought was "Alfalfa!" (of the Little Rascals). Yup, I'm showing my age today...

Shelley,
You sure did find a GREAT bird..one of my favorites...I finally realized, after many walks where no birds were in site, that where I found the Titmouse and Chickadees I would find fall warblers!! Your shot is adorable and of course so detailed as are all your photos!!
