Need time to bird!

Have I been the only bad birding blogger?! I'm hoping to make it to the cabin next weekend and do some serious birding and hopefully get some decent photos. I've been studying for finals and missing being outside in nature. Also - I'm missing all of you! I think I'll have to have a giveaway to make up for it.....stay tuned.

Oh a giveaway would certainly make up for it, hahaha.
I have not had many interesting birds at my feeders, just the same ol', same ol' - finches, house sparrows, chick-a-dees and titmice.
We have NO snow here as of yet! Can you believe it? This is NY people, where's the snow? Maybe if we had some snow I would get some more birds at the feeders. Hey - I haven't even had my 2 cardinal pairs. Strange.

I have missed your too Shelley but we surely all understand. Time at the cabin will be a welcome break I'm sure and we look forward to more photos!
I can't take good photos, but I am seeing so many varieties of birds in our woods. It's been fun to watch.

Hi Shelley,
I hope you will find some time to enjoy nature and get some nice bird shots... Here it is the same not too much time to bird but this is mainly due to the weather and darkness ;-)

Hi Shelley, I'm sure your birdies understand just how busy you are. We all understand and are proud of you for going back to school. It's not easy--is it?????

Hope you get some time-off so that you can get to your cabin and enjoy the holidays.

Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Shelley, I've missed you but understand that other important priorities must come first for you.
Hope you manage to get to the cabin for some much needed R & R.

I wondered if you were OK! Hope you get to the cabin soon! The birds down here where we are "camping" are so darn shy!! We aren't allowed to put out a feeder due to the bears but I don't know if even THAT would entice the birds to come closer!!

Looking forward to your photos...assuming I can still get online!

...I've definitely missed your photos and bird humor. You usually make me laugh with your funny comments. Good luck with your tests, though--and keep working hard!

I was wondering what most people give away and what you have to do to be chosen?

Computers?
Cameras?
Pens?
Paper?

Give away, or not, we miss your photos and humor.

Hope you did well on your finals! or are doing well as the case may be. My husband's students are done, now it is just make up time (aviation has strick time input rules) and paperwork for him.

Shelly: I love the red on the head of this woodpecker.

Ooooo, look at the red on his head. Gorgeous!
We had a lot more birds at the feeders before we left for our 15 day trip. I think they thought we abandoned them...now I am begging them to return....we have seen a few straggle back..but I am sad we lost so many to our feeders. Hope I can tempt them back with some sunflower seeds and thistle!

I haven't been blogging either, and I am not going to school. Just knitting, knitting, and more knitting.

Thanks for the idea of hanging right on the tree. We're new to the suets and didn't even think about that.
