Sweet Chickadee

Is there anything more sweet than a little chickadee?

Oh yes....young children discovering the beauty of the chickadee and trying to feed them by hand.

(My friend's son did have one land in his hand, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera!)

What a fun experience to have the chickadee land in his hand. That's something he will remember for a long time. Your photo of the chickadee is outstanding, and they really are a sweet little bird.

Nothing against robins, but chickadees should be the state bird of Michigan! They are so cute! Thanks for sharing!

I agree with Betsy, great memories for those kids at your cabin! I love chickadeedees but I love those little Nuthatches too. Watched one yesterday and listened to him talk to himself the whole time :)

I'm still trying to get one in my hand!
I think I'll have to invest in a butterfly net. ha!

nothing sweeter, they are my favorite I could paint them all the time. One of the trails I walked had chickadees that would follow you probably looking for food.

A special moment indeed Shelley, when a bird lands on your hand.

Love the first shot.

It seem of all the wild birds, the Chickadee is the most trusting. I hope I have some around the retreat this winter. ATB!

I just love the concentration on their faces! How wonderful they have that look because of your birds.

Chickadees are the cutest! Your encouragement of the young bird watchers will pay off. Once a bird lights on your hand you remember it forever.
