My gosh, how'd you get sooo zoomed in on this lil one? WoooWeee! He/She's gorgeous!!!
I don't know my birds, so if it's obvious to some that it's a male or a female, I'm sorry... I just KNOW it's a FANTABULOUS shot!!!

I always have to get my Birds of Michigan book to check the birds in your photos. Is this a house or a purple finch? I'd love to see a bird like this in England.

Hi your photos are indeed stunning. May I ask what camera and attachments you use, and how far generally you are from your subjects.

I use a basic camera to catch distant images of birds on my farm. I intend to upgrade, hence my questions.

You are welcome to visit my site:

Aside from how caressable this little fellow looks, what captivates me is how his color is reflected in the branch he lit upon. It is as if he knows how to show himself off.

I love those little red poles! I used to see them in my yard in Michigan during the long winters. First time I saw one I thought he was an injured sparrow - due to the red patch. My bird book told me otherwise so I put my band aids away and enjoyed the view. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!

What a beautiful blog you have. I love birds and have been backyard birding for about 15 years now-it’s so rewarding. Your photos are wonderful. So glad I found your blog.
