Dreams come true....

I've been watching all your blogs you know. The Snowy Owl envy was definitely getting the best of me. I've been driving all over northern Michigan for the past month in search of this beautiful creature. So I went with the Michigan Audubon on a birding trip to Sault Ste. Marie. I'll have you know I was the first one to spot him......a moment I'll never forget! And yes, there were tears. And then I high-fived my hubby! I was ready to dance like a Sharp-tailed grouse..... Okay, I'm getting carried away now.

How about you - any more Snowy Owl sightings??? I'm heading to your blog now...

Yes indeed - check past posts on my blog! Every time hubby and I drive North about 25 miles and make the loop back to town, we see at least a half dozen of these beautiful birds. I'm soooo enjoying seeing them again. It's been about 5 or 6 years. You have a beautiful shot of one there.

Glad you were able to see a Snowy! Sadly, they don't show up in Central Alaska too often.

Congrats, they are beautiful birds. Great shot! I saw the Snowy Owl here in Maryland back in 2009 and I will never forget that beautiful bird. Happy Birding!

Well if I was to spot such a bird, I will probably do like you.... even more, first I will take pictures, but then back at the car, I will jump all over the place... This is probably one of the best sighting ever in the world. Well done!

Allllll right! One was sighted about 2 hours from my house, and I spent a Saturday searching him out, but no luck. Glad you found yours!

Loved this...haven't seen one myself in person yet despite everyone else within a 20 mile radius of me having one of their own in their yards. LOL

I have not seen a snowy owl in years! I did see one once it was just sitting up in a tree, what a surprise.

Lucky you!! I adore owls and this one is beautiful.

We have an owl in our back woods (MD) but have never seen it. One night, I stood on the deck and called back and forth to one with an owl whistle. We believe it's a Great Horned Owl.
