Here's the deal Mr. Grackle. I haven't been getting many birds in my backyard. Just a handful of sparrows, Bob the mourning dove and you. I want you to spread the word to the cardinals, nuthatches and anyone else you come across that I have some new feeders and to come visit me!

And of course you will be rewarded in peanuts! Here you go!

Waiting Grackle

This Grackle had his laser focus on one of my bird feeders. He was waiting on the mourning doves to vacate (fat chance!) Finally, I shooed the doves away so this guy could have his turn.

Grackle's Ingenuity

I have a true appreciation for the Common Grackle's ingenuity. I watched this handsome fellow take a peanut off the feeder and then fly to the birdbath to dip it in the water. He dunked it three times, and then it was soft enough for him to gulp it down. Where there's a will, there's a way!

Common Grackle

I like the Common Grackle for its sharp intelligent eyes and the way it marches around my yard like a soldier.
