Precious pictures Shelley. Hope you are enjoying the weekend. It is 95 here today!
Wonderful birds and great photos.
We don't see Nuthatches at our feeders, but that little Chickadee is one of my favorites!! I love his cheerful little song as he lands for a seed!
Splendid shots Shelley. I love both of them... I went to see the loon today but did not see them. They are hiding somewhere!
Wish we could keep the nuts out but Blue Jays are nuts about them not counting the bad sguirrels and they will not stop until the last nut is gone.

Well, I sure can't eat just one! HA HA HA! Great picture, Shelley! :D
Haha! Loved the quote...so true! Beautiful captures as well...so darn cute!
Maybe IF I could stop after eating ONE peanut, I'd be much smaller!!!!! ha ha ha.... Cute pictures, Shelley.
Hugs,
Betsy
Cute! They sure do love those peanuts.
I see some very happy birds here! Great photos!
I never thought about hanging just peanuts for the birds..does it take a special type of bird feeder?
We have always just gotten mixed seeds and sunflower seeds...so I need to get some nuts to get more birds here.
Such beauties. Really, lightens the mood immediately.
Read the Thoreau line in the blog header. Reminded me of the book The Fall Of A Sparrow by the celebrated Indian Ornithologst, Dr. Salim Ali.
Stunning images.Lucky birds to have all those peanuts.

The peanuts look too big for that nuthatch! Nice shots and I'm sure the birds enjoy those peanuts! I know I would!!
The photos of the birds are wonderful BUT this time it was the peanuts that stole the show for me! They look delicious!

Have a Great Week Shelley

Great quote, and great pictures Shelley.
Such little sweethearts! I know I take them for granted because we have them here all the time, year around. They are not nearly as afraid of me of many other birds...In fact, it is usually one of them or a Tufted Titmouse that makes the announcement to the rest of the bird world that I have filled the feeders and breakfast is ready.
