I've seen these before at our friend's home in Alaska.
I saw my first one of these Gray Jays in Yellowstone. He was not afraid of us at all. I think he was used to hand-outs. Yours is a great picture of this bird!
Beautiful, Shelley! I love how you caught all the subtle colours in his head.
This is a cute bird.
It's pretty, Shelley. I don't think I've ever heard of those before.
I do too Shelley.
He looks very handsome.
Beautiful shot, Shelley! The Gray Jays are so much fun to watch and very greedy at the feeders. They can clean out the suet in nothing flat as they ferry it back to their cache.
Great picture. We met up with some of these birds a couple of years ago when we were on vacation at Maroon Bells near Aspen, Co.....and yes, a couple of them were more than happy to eat out of our hands and share our lunch. I have never seen them here in Indiana though.
Simply beautifull A gorgeous shot Shelley....
Isn't he gorgeous? Wow!

This is a beauty I've never seen... Still a beauty!
I've never heard of a gray jay. I have to look that up. Nice pic.
Wish we had them here in Wrightwood. We have Stellars and SCrubs.
