Cute picture, Shelley... I find the Downy's to be very easy-going birds--at least from what I see!!!! They will share willingly. And the Nuthatches will flit around getting food wherever they can find it---no matter what other bird is around... What cuties, both of them..

Great picture!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Wow very nice picture!! It is amazing to see them on the same spot, sharing resources. I guess the hard winter help these guys to share a bit...

I love my Downeys. They let me know when the suet is gone too! Mine are not selfish though, they share. Its a rule at MY feeders ~lol~.

Happy Holidays.

Shelley, fun picture! I went out and bought some suet feeders and Country Husband and I hung them on the trunks of the trees like I had seen in your pictures of the squirrels helping themselves to the suet. Works well. Thanks. We usually just hang from a branch or iron hook.

Great capture, Shelley! For as little as those downys are they portray quite the bully sometimes..I've seen them chase a squirrel away from the peanut feeder dome...amazing they would fly at a squirrel and buzz it's head to get rid of it!! Hope you have a great week and a wonderful Christmas!!

Lovely birds,
before 6 years I was by the sleeping bears in Michigan for two weeks. We were in a B&B-house. There I habe seen so fantastic birds outside. I never forget it.

Too cute!!! Beautiful nuthatch/woodpecker photo, Shell. I have been enjoying the birds this year more than last year because hubby sawed down a small maple tree and stuck it in the ground a few feet from my living room window. LOL Am getting some good shots with my 300 mm lens. Have bird photos posted in my Better Photo gallery.

Of course you are the one who inspires me!!!

Hugs, JJ

Happy New Year, dear!

Hi Shelley,
I've been keeping an eye on your blogs, but I don't have a lot of time to comment. Work and animal rescue take most of my time. Your photos are beautiful. Scout is adorable, but I still love Marvin the most :)
Due to lack of time, I put all three of my blogs into one blog. So I'm kind of starting over.

I found you through a link from Montanagirl's blog. I love your pics and I look forward to seeing more. I lost my husband 3 yr ago and I now rent a room with my friend, and I plan to set up a feeder and birdbath in her yard this year so I can enjoy the birds again. My husband and I used to feed them year round and we raised finches for a while. So I will enjoy your birds and your part of the country that I know nothing about. What fun! Thanks for sharing.
