The Rose-breasted Grosbeaks have returned to northern Michigan and are regular visitors to the feeder. I should mention that they are there ALL DAY! I don't mind of course. I love them. Even though I will now need to pick up another job to be able to feed them...ha,ha!

Beautiful pictures. I think they have all left here now. I know what you mean about eating. I went through food pretty fast there for a while.

There has been a couple of those here at my Grama's in Byron, Mi...I have tried several times to get a picture so that I could figure out what kind it was, Thanks for clearing that up for me!
We manage to usually have one male and one female. Last year, I think about August, Dan and I were sitting on the deck and we heard this beautiful bird song; we'd never heard it before. We finally located the source and it was a male RB grosbeak. We'd heard them "sing in the spring" but never like that. Nice shots!!
Fantastic images of beautiful grosbeaks! I have seen more grosbeaks this year than ever. How wonderful that they spend the day at your feeders. A most lovely sight!

Great photos! I wish we could get these beauties at our feeders. I know they're around, but for some reason we don't see them in our yard. (Rochester Hills)

Beautiful close ups! I've only seem them twice. I guess they must have been passing through. They are colorful for sure! Looks like someone splashed paint on them..LOL
Lovely photos! I wish they would come north. The only Grosbeak we get here is an occasional Pine Grosbeak.

We have Grosbeak Madness here too, but our feeders are mobbed by Evening & Black Headed Grosbeaks. Now if I could only get pictures even a little bit as good as yours.

WHat is it with the RB grosbeaks this summer? We've had scads all season; usually they just pass through. They are so gorgeous.
