Other things going on in my yard

My backyard activity is starting to pick up. Bob the Mourning Dove's wife is laying on some eggs. Pretty soon we'll have little Bobs running around messing up my birdbath. Other things going on in my yard....

My Hyacinths have popped up!

My little angel statue made it through the winter...

And this sparrow is apparently building the biggest nest possible!

I'm headed up to our cabin today with my mother to celebrate her birthday. I hope I can capture some better Loon photos this weekend. Wish me luck! (My computer access will be sporadic but I will be back soon to check your blogs!!)

The hyacinths are beautiful! The little angel in the blue flowers is a very pretty shot. I want to see that sparrow nest when he is done :-) He must be trying to impress his mate and she will probably roll her eyes and say, "men...they haven't a clue".

Don't you love the hyacinths? The fragrance is just so sweet. I had the door to the deck open early today and the birds were singing so loud, they are glad spring has finally arrived too!

Your flowers are striking. And I just noticed some of my wild violets were blooming yesterday but nothing as colorful as your flowers.

I hope you have good luck getting the pictures you want over the time you have available.

Tell your mom that Abraham Lincoln wishes her a happy birthday.

Living in such wonderful places, so different from where I have lived, you might enjoy a look at The Hamlet of Gordon, Ohio. It is how small hamlets used to be and this one still exists.

Another DELIGHTFUL post, Shell. :D You are a great way to start my day!!!

Your hyacinths are beautiful and I am imagining the fragrance. Ahhh! spring. Yesterday I could inhale the green earth and that was beautiful. Am waiting for my daffodils to pop open.

You have a lovely angel for a beautiful garden.

The nesting photo has me smiling. Do you provide the birds with yarn or anything to help with their building? One time I found dental floss in a nest. Don't ask me how it got there. I don't floss outside but it was my mint flavored favorite.

Happy Birthday to your mom and enjoy the weekend at the cabin! The UP has started calling me. :D

Hugs, Nancy J/JJ

Just lovely.
I saw a bird flying with what appeared to be a streamer in tow. Amazing what they find and use.

Little angel looks good. Here in my shady garden St. Francis took a real beating this winter and to top it off a bird.... oh I won't go there :)

I am hoping my daffs will open soon, but other than that I've just got the little blue jobs I can't identify. Your flowers are lovely. And that's one ambitious sparrow.
