Didn't realize the Pine Grosbeak could come in three colors - Red, Russet brown, and yellow. The male is the Red one. I do like all three - and they were such tame, relaxed birds to photograph. They are only in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so this was a treat for me (as we don't see them downstate where I live.)

What pretty little birds! Great pictures, Shelley! :)
Beautiful shots!
It would be hard to choose a favourite of these three. They are a beautiful bird.
He is a beautiful bird. We don't have them down here either. I like the one in the red blossom.
Ah, lovely photos of a beautiful bird. I have never seen one.
Now I know why I haven't seen them just north of Detroit. They are similar to the UK sparrows - if it wasn't for their colours.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!! I only seem to get rose-breasted grosbeaks around here (not that I'm complaining!)
I like the orange one
Wow, they're beauties Shelley.
All three of those birds are so beautiful, but that first picture is outstanding--love the colors!
Wow! We had a pair near here several years ago, and folks from all over the Midwest showed up, hoping to see them. I was there several times and only saw them for nano-seconds at a time. Great pics.
Beautiful colored birds. I never knew they came in this many colors. Very nice photos Shelly! Happy Spring!
Wow, gorgeous bird and colors.
Oh yes, I love the three of them too! And I would love to see them all. Fantastic captures Shelley!
Shelley,
I have made you the next recipient of the NikonSniper Beautiful Photography Award on my blog. I love your photos of these birds. I have always wanted to do a better job with these creatures. I have never even seen a Loon.
God bless,

Wszystkie są pięknymi ptakami. Pierwsze zdjęcie jest urocze dzięki ozdobie roślinnej. Pozdrawiam.*** All are beautiful birds. The first picture is lovely with plant ornamentation. Yours.
I clicked on over from Nikon Sniper... and I can say... one post viewed and I am gonna love this blog.

Truley gorgeous pics, Shelley. To answer your snowy owl question, like you I followed all the snowy owl sighting in Minnesota for month to no avail. I wanted that "lifer." Then giving up an injured one showed up in a ditch a couple of days ago and I helped "rescue" it. : Posted on it a few days ago.
Also a big hi to that big Scout from Baron and me... :)
Oh my gosh Shelley! That top picture is gorgeous!!!!! I love the colors! and the flowers in the back ground just makes the picture.
