This little puff ball finch was the only one of his flock not to fly away when I came outside with a camera. This one is a brave one...I bet he can teach those Tufted Titmouses a thing or two!
What a cutie! I get some real laughts every winter, getting all excited that I have something new in the tree, and when I grab the bins for a better look, its'just a sparrow or some other regular, only all fluffed and puffed against the cold, and looking twic e the size.

So sweet, all puffed out in the cold. :c)

Oh, he looks so cold! Glad you are there for him.
Shelly: What a neat shot of the bird.
He's gotten his feathers arranged just so, and if he flies he will just have to redo them.
Eve - the goldfinches are always one of my faves!
Birdlady - his friends were too!
Jayne - I love how they puff up!
Leedra - I'll be sure to send him over - lol!
deborah - you are so right - the birds do look so different when they puff themselves up!
