He is a beautiful red! He looks like he's a little exasperated with you. Did you not put out his favorite food?

LOL... he looks to be saying, "OK, lady, are you done yet?" He's glorious!

Great photograph. I just love his expression.

VERY red and beautiful! My cardinals look like they have been through a war zone and I have a couple of bald ones. I don't think anyone would have chosen them as state bird the way they look right now.

A lovely shade of red.

He must have read your blog post about the drought in birds and flew your way to make up for it.
He is absolutely gorgeous!
We only had ONE here, ever and it was in the winter. It was beautiful on a snowy branch and get this: BETWEEN TWO bluejays!!! By the time I ran for my camera it was GONE. I was devastated.
I am so glad you captured this one...it is a real beauty.

Shelly: What a neat Cardinal in bright red. I now don't have to be jealous of you getting to visit with George and Betsy.

Those brilliant red ones are said to be the little hotties of the cardinal world!! So you should be seeing him being chased all over by those cardinal groopies!!
Neat picture, Shelley
