It seems like the nuthatches up at our cabin are becoming quite used to me. This one buzzed close over my head as I was filling the peanut feeder, and then soon after posed nicely for this photo.

Very lovely.
Have you thought about framing this one for your bird room?
If he was anything like the one's around here, he probably was telling you to hurry up as you filled the feeder. Only the chickadees are more brazen!
This is a beautiful picture. I love watching these little "upside-down" birds.
Great photo of a bird I really love to watch. Joan
Birdlady - thank you :-)
Birdgirl - are you related to birdlady above?? :-) Thanks for stopping by.
Christy - you just reminded me - I'm going to have to go thru and find my best photos to frame. Thank you!
Joated - yes - you're right - and the chickadees buzz around my head too!
Sandpiper - I enjoy it too when they're upside down!
Eco - they are fun to watch, eh? They're always so "busy".
Great photo of the nuthatch. All of your bird photos are really good.
I have added you to my "Nature sites" Blog Roll.
Thanks for the recent visit,
Troy and Martha
Sorry, I meant to say I have added you to our "Nature Blogs" instead of "Nature Sites".
Have a great week,
Troy and Martha
I saw a lot of nuthatches over the winter but I rarely see one now. I hope they come back.
Texas - very kind of you - thank you!!
Jessica - I'll trade you my nuthatch for one those orioles visiting your backyard. :-)
That's a gorgeous shot!
