Sweet Rose-breasted Grosbeak

This sweet little female grosbeak seemed very unafraid as I was snapping photos of her. In fact, she seemed to be posing as she went from the log post, to the feeder and then to the tree.

Very nice shots! Most of the Rose Breasted Grosbeaks have left my yard. I do still have one pair that feeds very early in the morning. Thanks for sharing!

Cute photos! Female rose-breasted grosbeaks seem under-appreciated (compared to the males), but are quite lovely.

J. Karl - thank you, I hope your pair sticks around!

John - I agree, I think the females are underappreciated but so lovely in their own right.

Monarch - I wish my photos were half as nice as yours! Thank you!

How beautiful! I finally saw a female grosbeak this week, but it was at the end of the day and too dark for pictures. She hasn't come back.

Birdlady - thank you - she was a very cooperative lady!

Sandpiper - I really had a chance this weekend to appreciate their beauty. I hope yours comes back!
