Is this a Pine Siskin?

There were 4 of these little guys dominating the thistle sock yesterday. They seemed pretty tame as I snapped their photos. I checked the Cornell site and I think they are Pine Siskins http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Pine_Siskin.html . What do you think?

Yep, looks like a Siskin alright. Notice the yellow tint in the lighter areas on the wings.

Sure looks like it. Lucky you! I haven't seen any in years.

Think you are right...looks and acts like a goldfinch in camoflage.

Dave, Sandpiper, Richard & Birdgirl,
Thank you for the confirmation! I have never seen the pine siskin before and feel lucky that they chose my backyard!

Oh nice photos! I love the close up. I don't have any siskins around me that I've seen yet. Very cool find!

Hi Shelley,
I was surprised to see Pine Siskins in North Dakota too, but the range map showed them as year-round (here in SE Minnesota, we just see them in the winter).
