My Downy (who looks just like yours) came to our suet feeder several times today also. He is nice to share with the Nuthatches and the Carolina Chickadee. Our Red-bellied prefers the sunflower and safflower.. Who knows?!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

Neat picture of the little Downy. She won't likely have it all to herself for long.

They are always faithful. Downy or Hairy they are my regulars at the suet feeder.

...so cute!! Right now, she would have to fight off the starlings for a bit of suet in my yard!

We love the Woodpeckers too. Our budgie Jax is singing away as the male Downy is just outside our kitchen window on the suet basket :-)The photo on your "giveaway" post is fantastic Shelley!

Love the photo Shelley!

When a Downy shows up on our suet feeder, it always lands on the narrow edge, looking at both sides several times trying to decide which side it wants to eat from.
