You might be a Birder if...
You might be a birder if you can say exactly where you saw a dozens of lifebirds but don't recall exactly where you first met your spouse.
You cringe when friends tell you they saw a ruffled grouse or a seagull.
The roads around your favorite birding spot are completely covered with skid marks.
No, you don't think all those little brown birds in the field guide look the same.
You try to convince your child to go to college in Southeastern Arizona, for "special reasons".
You might be a birder if you're all the time wanting to stop the car, and your riders are saying "What are you stopping for?"

Cute! We're always putting the skids on when we're out and about, because we've spotted some kind of bird.
Really cute Shelley!
I am a just getting started back yard birder.lol
Patsy
I'm just a wannabe birder. I like birds and photographing birds, but don't know all it takes to be a REAL birder. Cute post.
Those are cute.
HA!!! yep i meet the criteria here and yes, I have been talking to Brad about transfering to Tuscn. L)
Brilliant and so true!
You might be a birder if after a rain storm you put out towels for the birds to dry off on. Works for the squirrels too.
Here's one for you: you might be a birder if: you get flipped the 'bird' more often than not cause you're sitting in the middle of the road with your camera out the window. LOL
Cute Shelley.... I used to be one of those who thought all little brown birds were Sparrows... ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Very clever! Thanks for the smile, Shelley! :D
So true!
Funny coincidence too...because I just gave my hubby a lecture that he doesn't stop fast enough when I tell him to stop because I want to photograph something...after scolding him about it, we both laughed...he said "I can't believe I just got scolded because I am a safe driver and watch that we don't get rear-ended." ha
lol, nice one Shelley.
I think I might be a Birder then. ;)
So so true! My name's Jenny and I'm a birder! Don't think I'll kick the habit though! (-:
We, I am I guess, my family can probably tell better than me, but these points, gosh, I do them all!!!!
Great post Shelley.
Guess that settles it.I'm a Birder.Worse things could happen.LOL
Blessings,Ruth
Those are cute and sound more than a little true.
Guilty of many (most)...

Funny, Shelley! With regard to the brown birds one: I've got a sparrow-like bird that I don't recognize visiting the yard. I'm going to try to post tomorrow to see if I can get some help ID-ing it.
Love it and so true!
LOL Shelley. I soooo identify with most of them. HA!
Yup. That's me too...
Happily guilty!! For some reason Country Husband thinks every little brown bird is a chipping sparrow-have no idea whats up with that!!?
Ha! Ha! Cute post Shelly!! I might not be a "birder" but I will wait in my window standing on a stool sometimes for an hour at a time just to get a good shot of something. Sometimes I hate it when I have to go tot he bathroom and it interupts me..Ha!
I used to have a bumperticker (several vehicles ago) that said, "Caution: Birders - Sudden stops"!!
LOL! Great post, Shell. You know the best people!!!
Hugs, JJ
Oh my..I think i am one of those!
Humorous yet truthful observations, Shelly. It made me smile...
I stop for birds!
Speaking of birds, check out what this Mama bird used for nesting material:

Made me smile!
Funny..love the skid marks comment..that could be me..just ask my poor dog?
Shelly: Funny, I guess you passed the test.
Oh, yeah!
I am shocked that you don't have a photo with this. Loved this, just have to poke at you.
Love it! Also, if you get the "what are you looking at?" And when I say, "Did you hear that?", everyone looks at me puzzled and says, "Hear what?"
