Blue Jay and the haystack

My husband put out corn and a haystack at his mom's place in the woods this past weekend hoping to attract deer. No deer, but plenty of Blue Jays enjoyed his corn treat!

Shelly, thanks for stopping by my blog. I am returning the favor and love your bird shots. I am especially fond of the chickadee pictures. They are the cutest darn little bird. The haystack makes the jay look really small. Cute shot. I will be back to check out your blog again. I enjoyed it much.

Your photo reminds me of when I put out peanuts for our scrub jays and instead the crows show up. ;o)

Hannibal - many thanks! I think the blue jay is underated!

Mary - it is funny when you set out to do one thing, another pleasant surprise can come your way.

Jess - you should have seen that blue jay just gorging himself on that corn!
