Morning has broken

Morning has broken,

Like the first morning....

Blackbird has spoken,

...like the first bird.

Praise for the singing, praise for the morning

Praise for them springing fresh from the world.

Sung by Cat Stevens. Lyrics by Eleanor Farjean.

I wanted to share one of my glorious mornings I had this weekend with you.

Is the snow melting? It looks like it in the 2nd photo.

Have you seen the Birds&Blooms Extra Jan 2009? It has a spread on Minnesota and one of large photos is of a loon with her babies riding on her back. I looked to see if you were the photographer.

...loved that post....your photos are beautiful and stringing them together to the song, wonderful! Rick and I had "Morning has Broken" played at our wedding ceremony (almost 21 years ago). It's one of my favorite songs. I had to get a bird into the ceremony somehow!

Ruth - thank you!

JJ - These weren't my best photos - but I did feel inspired - thank you!!!

Leedra - Kind of melting. We are suppose to get more snow this weekend in the northern part. I let my birds & bloom lapse - need to renew. Mad I missed the loons!!

Benny & Patsy - thank you - one of my favorite songs.

kelly - what a great wedding song to have! Glad you were able to work the bird in - LOL!!

Betsy - I thought maybe it would be appropriate for all 3. Gosh I'm wishing I only had 1 blog now - lol! Too late!!

Natural - thank you! I was humming this song in my head while I was taking a drive around the area and then I realized it would be appropriate to go w/ the photos (though like I said above I don't think these photos were my best, but were certainly inspired.)

Lanny - glad you liked it. Any other song requests? wink, wink!!

Kallen - this deer was so far away -I wish I could've gotten closer. Thank you!

jayne - thank you so much!

Tina - thank you - I always like his songs too. Too bad he went off the deep end a little bit.

Birding Maine - thank you - I just love the words to this song!

Jalynn - it was one of the sunniest and warmest mornings we've had in the past several months! Finally! :)

Mary - I'm glad you thought the song was right too - I kept picturing it in my head before I did the post.

Deborah - thank you - I just love being outside and enjoying the day!

Sharon - thank you! I am sending all 30 of my pine siskins in a gift wrapped box to you! LOL!

Birdgirl - I've been singing all day right along with ya!!! :)

Early birder - thank you. I think nature is such a miracle to be appreciated.

Fishing guy - glad you enjoyed it! I know it wasn't a country song but I might have to dedicate one to you in the future....

Nick - please send us a photo of you doing that jig immediately! LOL!
