Upside down Nuthatch for Eve

Eve at Sunny Side Up was right yesterday, I forgot the upside down shot of my White-breasted Nuthatch. If you look closely at the bottom of the photo, you can see the seed that the nuthatch has wedged into the crevice of the tree.

Wonderful shot. These little guys always look, to me, to be the most serious of the 'gray birds'.

Shelly: Not only a great photo, but it was so interesting that you pointed out the stash.

I love nuthatches. They are so cute!!! But in the winter they open their seeds on the roof. I'm always glad when they choose a tree instead.

Super pic!!!

Hugs, JJ

Yep! That's the pose that all nuthatches strike! Upside down coming down the tree. Great catch.

It is always good to see the world from the view of a nuthatch (and its stash)...up side down! Cool shot!

Aren't they pretty, Shelley???? I love to see them climbing upside down!!! Maybe the world looks better to them that way! ha

I would have never noticed the seed if you had not pointed it out. Didn't know they did this. Thought birds just eat as they find.

Like I commented on your previous post on this bird, you have really really shot them in all possible camera angles and done well
