Nesting mother....
Pretty soon I'll have 2 of Bob's mourning dove babies running around. I'll need to load up on some extra bird baths (or toilets for that matter.) They'll need names.....sounds like I'll be having a giveaway in the next couple weeks!

Awww! I can't wait to see them. I have young ones here but they are already big by the time I see them it seems.
Awww, what sweeties!
Do mourning doves mate for life?
I love the colors and detail in this shot. It sounds as though you are going to be as bad as me. I end up naming the local fawn crop-at least when they have been around long enough so that I can tell if they are male or female. I learned that lesson the hard way by naming a doe "Enos".
Excellent. I cannot wait to see the babies!!! Hope you will be able to up date a bit on their life and their babies!!
Great photo of Bob! What fun to watch the nests for the new little ones. Between the doves and the robins, you had better load up on a lot of supplies.
Bob's not pacing the floor...er-grass? He's taking it very well.
Good luck.New babies are always special.
Blessings,Ruth
Nice photos, Shelley! Get lots of pictures of the babies. I'll be waiting . . .
So pretty and cute. I love mourning doves, even if they are slightly stupid!
That first shot is a stunner Shelley. Hope you get some pictures of the young ones to show us.
Awww Shelley I love Mourning Doves. We have a "couple" here but we don't know where for sure they are nesting-scrub cedars we think. OH! OH! OHHH! I have a couple of names!
"Awww" seems to be the exclamation of choice here!
Your pictures are inspiring!
Will Bob be handing out cigars?
They have such sweet faces.
Bob looks like a very proud papa! I forget, does Mrs. Bob have a name? I'll have to start thinking of some names for those little ones. Maybe you can potty train them! HA!
I've seen lots of adult doves but never any little ones. I hope you will be able to show them on your blog!
Poor baby I know what you mean about the bird bath as a toilet.
We have not put one out here ,the creek is so close they can just go to it. Saved me a lot of cleaning.
But I love the Dove couple we have even better now.

They are the most elegant and peaceful looking calm birds..I just love doves. How wonderful that you can watch a nest of them and share them with us! Thanks!
...look at that cute little mama. What a sweet face. Bring on the babies!
Shelley, How cute... Where is she nesting?????? Keep us posted!!!! I love Mourning Doves.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh that Bob and his wife really produce the little ones, don't they? Has the gutter nest ever been washed away?
Lucky you! The turtle doves began to nest in their usual spot above the arbour and then left!! We were so disappointed. Looking forward to seeing your baby Dove pics.
Bob looks very proud of himself. I'll start thinking of names :-)
Happy Weekend, Shell. :D
Beautiful mourning dove photos!!! You are sooooo gifted.
Congrats on the newspaper eagle photo. That's just the beginning. :D
Hugs, JJ
So cute Shelley! He actually looks nervous in that picture!
Shelly: I'm sure you will handle the transition to the birding population.
How sweet! But is she in the gutter??? Bob needs to try a little harder next time!!! :-)
Good luck coming your way for the new little Bobs and/or Bobbettes.
OH my..doesn't the nest get all wet when it rains?

Expectant Father looks like all expectant fathers....hurry up and wait. Really like the top photo.
