Loons are so cool. Once paddling in the Boundary Waters we had a loons along side all the way across the lake. I think it wanted to race actually!

KJ - These loon chicks certainly do!
Trout - they say the more loons get accustomed to your presence - the more tolerant they are. Just need to be mindful during their nesting/baby season or they will abandon them. How cool that they swam next to you!
NC - it is a joy to watch and share them. I can't wait to see how big they've gotten next week!
