I talk to birds all the time, but not usually the doves...but yesterday I found myself asking the dove on my rail - "Do you know Bob?"

Lovely shots of the Mourning Dove Shell. Is that really Bob, or did he go on a diet ? :-)

Oh cute little Bob!

What a funny bird Bob is! He reminds me of the "milk" commercial with the milk mustache in the one photo with snow!

Shelley, I think Bob might be a stalker!! You'd better gather those chickadees around you for some security!!

Ya know, you've made us 'Bob freaks'. I love his stories and I too talk to my Doves and ask "Do you know Bob?' lol Aren't we funny?

Lynne - I do think they're beautiful too! All 100 of them in my yard! LOL!

Wendy - Glad I could make you laugh today! Hope your arm is doing ok!

Birdlady - Okay - that comment made me laugh very hard!! What was their answer?

Nick - I think Bob has lost some weight. He has been working out you know.

Dawn - a dove after my own heart!

Mildred - good analogy!

NC- thank you! HE sure likes the snow!

Nature Nut - next on my list is a camcorder to document Bob's life. Watch out PBS! LOL!

Betsy - I hope I don't have an imposter in my midst! LOL!

Hannibal - thank you! His feathers were looking especially nice on this day!

Mary - he is a nice chap! Hasn't left my side in the past 3 years!

Tina - you're right! I might need to get him psychiatric help as well!

Early Birder - glad you liked the Bob post. Since I have plenty of mourning doves in my yard year round - my imagination runs wild!

Rambling Woods - it does make me sad when a hawk cherry picks one of them out of my group. Hopefully Bob is kept safe!

Jalynn - my neighbors and family all think I'm crazy. Only my hubby keeps a straight face when he hears me talking to them outside! lol!

I think it is cute when the birds put their heads into the snow like that. Maybe Bob was bashful about following you across Michigan.

Shelly: You had better watch it, your husband is going to get jealous if Bob keeps following you around.

The Birdlady was being funny.

I think he is hiding his head in the snow because he is ashamed you called him Bob. That's Bubba, Bob's cousin.
