“To appreciate the beauty of a snow flake, it is necessary to stand out in the cold.”-Author Unknown
This is a real keeper Shelley. It would make a nice greeting card or framed print.
Brrrr! Poor little guy looks cold! Great shot, Shelley! Your photography is just so amazing. I love the quote you chose for this post too. Have a great weekend! :D
What a perfect photograph! The snow, the bird...it is lovely. I agree with Lynne. It would make a very nice card.
Shelley - how absolutely beautiful! Another Christmas card! And the quote is awesome with this image!
LOL - so true, and looks great too!
I'm not sure he is appreciating the beauty of the snowflakes at the moment :-) Sure is fluffed up against the cold and very cute.
This beautiful little bird looks like he's trying to remember what spring is like.
I love this photo Shelley. As well as a card, you could make a fabulous calendar out of your photos......the most trouble you might have would be choosing! (-:
Wow! What a remarkable photograph! A wonderful capture of not only the bird but the weather..perfect!!
Really nice. I hope you got that one through the window. Looks cold!Craig
Another "WOW" picture.
All fluffed up under a down quilt - what a wonderful photo!!
That is beautiful Shelley and so true...but I think I'll be taking pictures from the window today!!! Brrrrrrr
Precious! The quote is so true, but I tend to forget that sometimes. Blessings,Ruth
Shelley, How pretty! Your quote for today reminds me of how my mother loved snow fall - which we don't get much here in GA. Because she was visually impaired, we would stand her out in the snow, so she could feel it! She absolutely loved it! Thanks for the memory today.
I love that photo!! The snowflakes in the background is so pretty. I love how you were able to capture the yellow in him. I miss that color so much now that they are olive.
That is one 'cool' photograph.. no pun intended. I love it!
The photos of birds you put on this blog are truly the best I've seen.Brenda
Truer words were never spoken! Lovely shot. Is it me or are these guys starting to develop their spring colors already?
WOW...WOW...what a fabulous image Shelley. Awesome.
Great Quote. Yes, nothing should get in the way of what we want to experience.
Shellmo, I agree with Lynne. She said what I was going to say!
Oh Shelley, that is so very beautiful!
A PERFECT goldfinch photo, Shell. :DAbsoluttely beautiful. The snowy background really adds to the photo too.Hugs, JJ
Excuse my misspelling. I am clumsy this morn. It must be the cold snap bearing down on us. Don't you wish you could have all the birds live in the house during arctic blasts!!!Hugs, JJ
Love this one, Shelley. It's true, it's a greeting card waiting to happen.
This one GORGEOUS photo.
Hello Shelley, I juset wanted to tell you that I adore your blog. It is honestly my favorite one to check out everyday. Your pictures are priceless. I read some of your older posts and read about how the color of the little red finch is based on the pigment of the food it eats. Well you mentioned putting out dried cranberries and I did just that today myself! Before I left for work they were eating them like crazy! When I got home they are all gone. Please keep up the great work! You bring me a smile everyday!Beth
We haven't had snow yet but the goldfinch are here. This is a wonderful photo. I really love seeing the birds in the snow.O>
There - exactly! That's why I don't truly appreciate snow!
Oh what a great photo...love it and the quote.
I love the snow in this and it would make a beautiful card.
Shelly: Great capture of the cute little Goldfinch. My photo was from the spring or summer when they are in full color.
Thank you everyone! I wasn't sure about this photo because I didn't think I had captured a sharp enough image of the goldfinch. You are all very kind!
He looks so happy, even though it is heavily snowing!
That is a truly great shot!
