Very cute photo! Does the chickadee actually go to the sack?? Your sack looks so clean and mine look so grubby right now. Guess I should take them down and wash them, if the goldfinches ever get off of them long enough.
Thank you everyone for your comments! NC Mountain was right - the chickadee landed first and the siskin knocked him off in 2 seconds flat. (It was at this point my camera card was full!) Shelley
I have thistle feeders in the yard and the birds just don't seem interested. Most everyone seems to like the black oilers and the price is finally coming down a bit.

You know, every time I come to this blog, I have the overwhelming urge to say "Cute"!
Last one there lays a rotten egg!
It's fun to imagine, isn't it? What a sweet picture.
Shelley,
A great comment to select for this picture..what an interesting photo..with these temps I'm sure they both want to go first!!
That is just too cute! I love conversation between birds.

Oh cute..I have 4 thistle feeders and they are all busy. But I hate the way the seed blows all over..
Very cute! I've given our back porch to the birds for the winter! Messy, but I like to watch and photograph the birds.
It is a standoff!
The chickadee will get there first, but the nasty little siskin will shove him off. Great photograph!
Great photo Shelley. Looks to me like the Chickadee is saying to the Siskin 'you first'. (-: Nice manners that Chickadee.
Sweet! Great "portrait" of both of them!
Somebody had better fill that thistle bag pretty darn soon!!!!
LOL...i must come visit your birdies..they certainly do talk allot!
Your pictures always bring a smile to my face...

I can just hear them each revving their little engines! What a cute picture.

Cute photo. This reminds me I have to get some thistle seeds for my as yet unused sack.

If these two were at my house, Shelley, the Siskin would call all of his friends and neighbors --and take over.
Hugs,
Betsy
It does look as if that is just what they are thinking!
