I think the saying is that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush? But I did get a thrill when I saw these 2 juvenile Bald Eagles in the tree, twice as nice I think. I dedicate this to you - thank you so much for answering my questions on why you blog. Your input is invaluable. Your bloggy friendship is priceless.

Would love to be that close. Such a thrill.
That is so cool, the two eagles. I'm working on remembering, ha...but seriously, I have two grandkids all day, so tomorrow I'll work on it...
Yea! Nice shot Shelley!
Fantastic. So nice to see juveniles, too.
Eagles are a mixed blessing around here. They soar over our place almost every day, and are now quite common. Our friends and neighbors who live just across the highway keep their new lambs locked up for awhile after they are born because the eagles will take them....oh well, if the eagles don't get them it seems the coyotes and cougars are waiting for their chance too!
Great picture, double eagle! What an 'eagle eye' you are !
How cool to get TWO Eagles! Great photo.
I'm late on the blogging questions. I think that all of us bloggers have this creative nature and need an outlet for it. Blogging fills that need. I like to tell stories and I love to show and tell (specifically pictures) At any gathering I'm always the one with the camera. My friend and I used to email tons of pictures back and forth and then she started a blog and I wanted one too!! It documents the places I go and the things I see. I print some of them and keep them in a notebook.
I have gained the privilege of seeing other blogs with birds and animals I may never see. And as a surprise element I have gotten to know people I would have never met.
When I first started I had difficulty getting pictures uploaded and formated the way I wanted, but it didn't take too long to catch on.
Good Luck with your speech, I am sure you will entertain them as you do us on your blog. They'll love you!!
Wow - what a photograph!
Shelley,
Now that is the picture that makes your day and your week!!
Great post. Lucky you...what a thrill! Thanks
We Blog so that we can hear and see our Selves more clearly. We blog so that we can describe and sing to the world what we are feeling.
Shelley, we are on a similar wavelength again today. I just posted an eagle too.
I'm envious!
That is just fantastic Shelley! What a treat! I've had a few bald eagles fly over here, it really is a thrill.
Wonderful photo Shelley. I love spotting eagles. There's something mystical about them. Very nice blog!
Shelley: What a wonderful look at the you eagles. Thanks for sharing this great shot.
You are so lucky to not only see them, but to take pictures as well. Such majestic birds.
Love those eagles. Congrats on you honor. I get occasional requests to speak about trout fishing but as a novice birder I've got a long to go. I gave up hunting upland game to shoot birds with a camera and find it much more satisfying.
Just found your wonderful blog- I love the eagle pictures!
