3 More Babies!

How do you explain this Mary? Two more Mourning doves?! We already have 22 doves in the backyard!

And who does this baby belong to??

Oh please, please let me out to play with them. Really....you can trust me....

That cat is using its telepathic powers to WILL a bird into its paws!!

Your mourning doves know where they have a good home.

I'm not sure which I love more, the pictures of the babies, or the one of your cat looking hungry! ;)

The Coopers Hawk that lives around here would have a field day at your house. They seem to like doves - the doves are slow and plump...and your are VERY sweet.

Cute post! Poor kitty has to watch the mourning doves on "window TV".

So your cat get's bird TV - a daily dose. Now she knows how it feels for us watching a cooking show!;)
Hope you won't be flooded with Doves in the future...
Cheers, Klaus

I'm glad we don't have a lot of doves around. We have feeders they can't access but we see them in the trees.

Nice photos.

Funny story! I love it! The cat sure does look like 'out' is where it wants to be! Cute!

Love the Mourning Dove photos, and the cat in mourning for the doves. Great captions with the photos.

Two of my cats tell me daily that they're trustworthy but I know they're lying through their furry teeth. Love your new additions and great shots!

Shelley... I'm giving away a bird book specifically for the Toledo area and I know that you have a lot of bird blogging friends. If you know of anyone from this area could you send them over to my blog? Thanks.

Funny. So is it a stare off between the birds and the cat. LOL

I have had the same pair since last winter. Then early this spring about 50 relatives showed up beneath my feeder. Panic!

I am sorry to report that our mama cat is culling out the dumb genes among the doves here. We have hundreds of doves that visit here.

Nice post and the cat is a clever touch.

I enjoyed my visit.

If you are keeping track,
Alaska Sunday is posted.
It's the trip log with some new photos.
