This is a real keeper Shelley.
It would make a nice greeting card or framed print.

I'm not sure he is appreciating the beauty of the snowflakes at the moment :-) Sure is fluffed up against the cold and very cute.

This beautiful little bird looks like he's trying to remember what spring is like.

I love this photo Shelley. As well as a card, you could make a fabulous calendar out of your photos......the most trouble you might have would be choosing! (-:

Shelley, How pretty! Your quote for today reminds me of how my mother loved snow fall - which we don't get much here in GA. Because she was visually impaired, we would stand her out in the snow, so she could feel it! She absolutely loved it! Thanks for the memory today.

I love that photo!! The snowflakes in the background is so pretty. I love how you were able to capture the yellow in him. I miss that color so much now that they are olive.

Excuse my misspelling. I am clumsy this morn. It must be the cold snap bearing down on us. Don't you wish you could have all the birds live in the house during arctic blasts!!!

Hello Shelley,
I juset wanted to tell you that I adore your blog. It is honestly my favorite one to check out everyday. Your pictures are priceless. I read some of your older posts and read about how the color of the little red finch is based on the pigment of the food it eats. Well you mentioned putting out dried cranberries and I did just that today myself! Before I left for work they were eating them like crazy! When I got home they are all gone. Please keep up the great work! You bring me a smile everyday!

Shelly: Great capture of the cute little Goldfinch. My photo was from the spring or summer when they are in full color.

Shelley said...

Thank you everyone! I wasn't sure about this photo because I didn't think I had captured a sharp enough image of the goldfinch. You are all very kind!
