Just a flower today

A flower for my blogging friends today!

Wish me luck on finding some birds today! I'm coming up with nothing! We're up at the log cabin and I have all my feeders filled. I'm ready! Just having black squirrels and chipmunks visiting for now....
Anyone else having this problem?

Yep! Same here. Though I have to say, that I rarely see Wildlife, when sitting in the office working! ;)
But you're out and about - so they'll come!
Cheers, Klaus

All I have these days are mourning doves and house finches. I know business will pick up as the fall progresses. Good luck attracting some nice visitors!

I'm hearing that from customers - (I don't dare let on that they are all at my house!) lol

No birds in my office either. Come to think of I, I haven't seen any at the feeder today. Maybe they are having a convention somewhere.

I heard a white-throated sparrow in west central Wisconsin this afternoon! Don't give up Shelley, they'll be back!

Shelley : Different image from you, I m sure the birds will return and you will be back with a bang

...BTW till such time you could check out my recent post on certain rare bird species in India

Plenty of birds here but they are all the same ones. Little variety. Have plenty of Yellow-rumped Warblers and Goldfinches but all stay high in the trees. Hard to get good pictures.

We are seeing lots of birds. Yesterday we saw our first migrating Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Keep the feeders up...they will come.

KJ - I'm ready to take a long hike!

Tinymouse - thank you for visiting and for your nice comments!

Jayne - I will take one of your house finches - please send over. LOL!

Birdlady - You get the best birds - it's no surprise!!

Muse - I agree w/ your theory about the bird convention. How else could they be resisting my suet cakes???

Ruthie J - I am envious of your sparrow and hoping for one of my own - :-)

T&S - headed right over!

Richard - ok - now I'm envious of you too!

NC - My next step is more feeders - great idea!

It is such a beautiful flower. Thank you for sharing. I wish I lived in an area where I could see wildlife. The only critters we seem to have are those sneaky squirrels who seem to be building a nest with my welcoming mat.

I saw some the other day but I heard them more than I saw them.

Beautiful flower, looks like a close up of Autumn Joy sedum. I know it is not the same as getting to photograph birds.

They'll show up soon! Maybe they're out at an Indian summer picnic. ;)

I think my hummingbirds have hit the road. :( But the Canada geese are swarming my neighbour's migratory bird sanctuary across the street. Autumn is definitely here.
