So sweet and that was nice of Mr. Grackle...I take back the mean things I said about him!!!
I'll be he didn't! Beautiful downy.
Glad to see you are getting some birds back!
Your grackles must be far nicer than ours. No way would any of our grackles share with anyone, much less a cute downy.
I really "J" of you...We go to forests to see this bird and in your case it comes to your home...WOW.
You might want to consider holding the flash away from the camera using the "off-camera shoe" to avoid the eye-shine
Shelly: What a neat shot of the wood pecker. I had them in the Buckeye Tree on Sunday.
Beautiful downy woodpecker, Shell. If you apply solid shortening to your gloved and padded fingertips this woodpecker will land and have a great snack. :D I keep my eyes closed and wear glasses, only peeking at him now and then.
Hugs, JJ
Oh he's soooo cute!
I just wanna hug im!
So nice of him to visit, and give you the opportunity to get such a great photograph.
Eve - well at least I think so...ha,ha!
Birdlady - you're right - the grackle couldn't be that nice!
Hannibal - me too!
NC - I must be delusional!
Birdgirl - ha,ha!!
T&S - Thank you for the tip! I keep meaning to find photography lessons - someone suggested an online course.
Fishing guy - they usually get more plentiful in my backyard in the winter - hope this year is the same!
Nature - I am going to try that - thanks!!
Wendy - me too!
Leedra - I love them!
cute little things :-) we usually get those in our yard when it gets below freezing..
I am returning to this one. You captured the red on his head so well. I know I am repeating myself, but this is a great photograph.
