Eve at Sunny Side Up was kind of enough to send some of her Guinea feathers! If you haven't seen her Guineas, I suggest you check them out. Especially the post with them knocking on her door! They are hilarious and beautiful! Thank you Eve for these feathers - I have put them in a little vase and they remind me of your kindness and your wonderful Guineas!
Marvin the cat went into ecstasy when I let him sniff one of these feathers.

Don't you be taken in by that pretty face!
Ha Ha Shelley!! Who knew giving a little gift like that would bring such a smile to both...I mean...all three of our faces!!! Give that Marvin another tickle for me!!
too funny.
That is funny!
Marvin thinks 'dinner' is on the way!!!! What great pictures, Shelley.
Funny! He also might think it was a kind of torture... ;)
Cheers, Klaus
That's one of those faces where you just have to go " Awwwwww " :-) Funny .
Shelly,
Ha Ha, this is a great yarn! Love the photos and Marvin's dreamy face...definitely not visions of sugar plums on his mind!
shelly: Funny / funny / funny.
My parents always had Guinea's when I was growing up. They are the coolest birds. My Mom loved them because they didn't scratch her gardens up the way the chickens did. And they are get watch dogs too. They clucked away when someone pulled in the drive.
Your sweet cats face is priceless with that guinea feather! What a nice surprise to get in the mail.
What a look in that last picture! Be very afraid, feathered friends!
They look perfect..... from my flytying perspective that is - Oops
HA! I love that picture! Marvin looks like my cat named Lucy!
He really looks like he is into those feathers!
Guineas are such amazing birds. I love their round, plump bodies and lovely feathers.
Kitty knows there's a bird in there somewhere! Cute!
What a beautiful post!!! I have never seen guinea feathers before. They look GREAT and your cat is so handsome and I have one very similar, of course. :D
Great pics!!!
Hugs, JJ
I won't eat it, I will just bat them around a bit...
I'm not sure I would trust that sneaky feline! HA! :D
My dad-in-law used to keep guinea fowls ( a while back). they're very raucous and were great at keeping snakes away. The guinea fowls attacked snakes and always won.
Oh, Marvin can dream.... :c)
Those feathers are beautiful.
The cat really wants to get to those guineas. So nice of Eve.
What a gift! Great post today!
Those are very pretty feathers!
(My kitty reacts the same way with some pheasant tail feathers we've saved--they're now sitting up on a high shelf)
Lucky Marvin!!:) I sometimes find wild turkey feathers while I'm out walking, and bring them home for our felines, who promptly go nuts.
Awe, Marvin is adorable. Your bird pictures are amazing!
